GDT: Flames vs. Rags @ 5pm MT

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Would’ve been elated by this win if they’d beaten Toronto and not pissed away a pt against Vancouver. Rn the team is just playing to lose a 12-14th overall pick
Said player will have HoF numbers vs us as they'll be traded to Vegas or Seattle or something at some point and we'll play them far more often.

Man. Only the Flames can have a 2 on 0 with an empty net and go offsides lol.

Good win though, we suffocated NYR, or they're really not a good team. Igor was pretty unreal. I really liked our lines tonight. Lots of jump, lots of good scoring chances. Thought everyone was pretty good, was going to say Miromanov was not noticeable which is a good thing, then he had a bad turnover in the 3rd.

Huberdeau was great, he had a shoot first mentality tonight too which as nice to see. Really glad he's had a good bounce back year this year. He was rock bottom the first two seasons here.

Despite their best efforts and intentions, the Flames pull into a tie with the Cansucks for the last WC spot. We know Vancouver Can Suck, let’s see if they do tonight vs. The Jets.

In other news, the Habs trounce the Sens 6-3, and slip past the Rags for the final WC spot in the east.

So do you predict the final stretch to be nuckin' futs?

Yes :sarcasm:

Rangers are not a good team at all. Still, it was a back to back game and the Flames have struggled with those. Nice to see them put up a solid effort, especially in front of Vlad.

I honestly think we have a very winnable stretch of four games coming up @ NJD, @ NYI, vs. SEA, vs. DAL), but it’s actually St. Louis I’m worried about; they are leading Nash right now 3-1 in the 3rd, and have a fairly lax schedule ahead of them as well (vs. VAN, vs. CHI, vs. NAS, vs. MTL, @NAS). I wouldn’t sleep on the damn Blues.

Van just scored about six minutes in to go up 1-0, but the Jets are looking tuff so far.

Nice bounceback game from the team but the Rangers barely showed up. That was a pathetic performance at home from them. Coronato especially really nice effort from him after he's been fading a bit down the stretch here production wise. Zary was good too. Huska pushed the right buttons with the lines.

Games like this would give me pause to trade guys like Weegar and Kadri. They set the tone nicely in the 1st. Thought Klapka, Farabee, and Miro were all decent.
