Lots of different possibilities, but Evans has been the only one outside of Suzuki who's been able to bring what a center should. It's sad because Monahan would have been a perfect fit.

i just can't defend Dach any longer.
With a top 10 pick this upcoming draft and Hage, I feel more confident about the 2C solution if Dach's not it. Of course not entirely his fault, but he had like 20-25 great games as the 2C as a Hab and we are banking on him to do that for an entire season without missing many games. It's an extremely tall order.

He'll need a while. It took a good chunk of the season before Svechnikov looked like himself after the same injury, even if he was producing.

I don't disagree, but let's be honest, in his first season with us he was a winger most of the time getting carried by Suzuki and CC. He was on and off with injuries but was great at center for the remainder 20-25 games of the season.
