Trading Matheson would require us getting a upgrade on D preferably a RHD, in the trade, not sure how we we're going to pull that off. Any suggestions who we would have traded him for?

Because moving Matheson on this already weak D creating yet another hole, would have made our D even worse than it is.

The bigger question is how inclined might Hughes be to flip one of his ex-client acquisitions. I’d like to believe that it shouldn’t matter since he can’t get beholden to any player that can materially improve the club.

Also, there’s Matheson’s production and high TOI that may draw a suitor.

We are missing that on the back end. A defender that can unload bombs. Would be a nice match with Hutson.

Guhle and Xhekaj both have great one timers and I think they could both benefit our PP on different waves.
