Backlund said Van Brabant's name more correctly than Van Brabant did when that video came out on the Flames site about him.

I went to the Canucks board to say good game, half are proud of what Corrado did. A-holes.

We did the same thing when Byron boarded Daniel.

I'm actually innocent, I called out Byron since I had seen him do it before.Guilty as charged.
So how many points did ferland have total?
Wotherspoon and Sieloff both have 2-3 potential. One didn't play and the other played his first 2 games in a year.Very fun tournament to watch, we have some potential promising forwards but I am not sold on our defense. I think brad and company needs to build it up more. Furthermore, I feel we dont have a high end defenceman
Steinberg is the colour guy, it's the PBP guy that has been saying all the stupid ****

After that I don't think anyone has more than bottom pairing potential. I see Kanzig and Kulak being able to reach that, but I don't expect Culkin or Ramage to ever be NHL regulars. I don't think Roy will even make it in the AHL.
Points for a defenseman mean absolutely zero when a pylon plays better defense than him. Roy is a horrible defenseman with some offensive skills, unless he learns to play defense or becomes a forward he is not even going to make it as an AHL defenseman.I don't understand how you can say this after he went at 0.67ppg last year in the WHL. He is at least good as an offensive defenseman, and that's what he was drafted to be.
I think his development is going to take a lot of time - at least four years before he even sees NHL ice, and then more as he splits time between the AHL and the NHL - but it's too early to say that a top offensive defenseman in junior and someone who had even been projected as high as a first or second round pick early in his draft year wouldn't make it to the AHL.

Tell that to Erik Karlsson, James Wisniewski, Kris Letang, Matt Niskanen, Andrej Sekera, Marek Zidlicky, Mike Green and our own Dennis Wideman. Offensive defenseman is as much a niche as stay-at-home defenseman. By the same logic, there's no reason to have defensively-minded forwards with average point totals like Mathieu Perrault or Craig Smith simply because they're not performing the primary purpose of their position. Maybe we shouldn't pick up shot-blockers like Lance Bouma or Ladislav Smid, either, or faceoff specialists like Manny Malhotra or Paul Gaustad...
I think I started saying this not long after he was drafted.Roy would be a decent forward prospect imo.
