Haha. I've been a miserable sob for the better part of my fandom. It hasn't kept them from perpetual mediocrity. Finishing 7-8th w a first round exit or 9-11th w heartbreaking near berths is a right of passage for all flames fans.Don't be positive, the Flames feed off our misery.
Coronato normally scores where he missed that grade A.Had a few chances in the 3rd, but we had no finishers.
Flames are playing to give up a 15th-16th pick. Been saying it for a month; let’s hope it stays so and Jersey’s pick is around 18-19.
Pretty fitting way to end the hopes of a post season birth with a no goal call reminiscent of 04’.
Life of a flames fan.
Agreed. They’ve been very very very very very lucky in one goal games. Flames had a considerably better GD last year and were 9th last. The last time we had a worse GD than this team was 2017-18, and they were 12th last.It will suck to lose the pick, but with Jersey falling with the injury to Hughes, we won't be picking that far back from what I our pick would be anyway. We have Florida's too even though it'll be super late.
I honestly think though that the team is going to regress hard next year. This year we started off hot 5-0, then kept that 5 games over .500 for the entire year meaning we were always playing .500 hockey for 60+ games.
When we inevitably miss the playoffs I think that will seal it for Andersson wanting out and he'll be gone which will leave our defense in even more shambles.
There's also the fact we've scored 4+ goals only 13 times this year, in 70 friggen games. All statistics and history of the NHL says we should be at best 27th/28th place overall.
not a right of passage since it is the enduring purgatory of life for a Flames fan.Haha. I've been a miserable sob for the better part of my fandom. It hasn't kept them from perpetual mediocrity. Finishing 7-8th w a first round exit or 9-11th w heartbreaking near berths is a right of passage for all flames fans.
Beat the Avs at home, lose to Utah the following night.
They really don’t want that 1st rounder
