This team is too inconsistent and lacking of pure goal scorers. And sadly <-20 goal differentials should not send you to the playoffs.

It will suck to lose the pick, but with Jersey falling with the injury to Hughes, we won't be picking that far back from what I our pick would be anyway. We have Florida's too even though it'll be super late.

I honestly think though that the team is going to regress hard next year. This year we started off hot 5-0, then kept that 5 games over .500 for the entire year meaning we were always playing .500 hockey for 60+ games.

When we inevitably miss the playoffs I think that will seal it for Andersson wanting out and he'll be gone which will leave our defense in even more shambles.

There's also the fact we've scored 4+ goals only 13 times this year, in 70 friggen games. All statistics and history of the NHL says we should be at best 27th/28th place overall.

Agreed. They’ve been very very very very very lucky in one goal games. Flames had a considerably better GD last year and were 9th last. The last time we had a worse GD than this team was 2017-18, and they were 12th last.

A little more regression from Kadri/Coleman/Backs and some correction to the mean in terms of luck getting points and they are bottom 8 imo.

Though I don’t think Andy is a huge loss at this point. He’s been atrocious this year. Yeah he eats minutes, but he sucks playing those minutes.

Frost and Farabee are 2 absolute non-factors... Given time and space to shine in Calgary but they just not moving the needle. Very limited 3rd, decent 4th liners...

Andersson 9 mil my arse. He was awful on that 2nd goal...
