Because they're cowards.

It's a name formed by indecision, not a decision. They told everyone they didn't have enough time to get to a permanent name in time for this season, but they obviously did have enough time and just didn't want to.

I believe it was Yeti and there are multiple companies that use the Yeti name so they couldn't trademark a bunch of items (merch and stuff), IIRC.
