Confirmed with Link: Flames trade Pelletier + Kuzmenko + 2025 2nd, 2028 7th round picks to the Flyers for Frost + Farabee

this is an absolute fleecing. we watched the flyers break these players down and turn them into low confidence mush. Frost is a good 2C, farabee used to be a solid 2nd liner, idk what happened to him. They smoke pot together and play hockey. They're good lads. Good luck with everything.
How do you know that? That would be amazing if true

I'm gonna pretend like Zary will still player at center because he's the better player even though I know they put Frost there instead. Still, Flames a little deeper then they were yesterday.

Aw man, Pelts is the first flames prospect I rooted for since I've been watching this team, really wanted him to succeed here, and I still think he can become a decent player, seems like a great kid too. Hope the best for him.

As for Kuzmenko.. clearly has tons of talent and he was pretty good for the 20 or so games he played last year. It just didn't work out this season for whatever reason.

I don't know much about Frost or Farabee, but they seem like solid players. Both are far more proven than Pelts and 3-4 years younger than Kuzmenko while having a few seasons better than this seasons version of Kuzmenko and his last season with the canucks. So objectively seems like a damn good deal. Kudos to Conroy.

We gotta keep Klapper in there. No sense in breaking up that Coleman-Backlund-Coro line either. My guess is we play Frost at 2C until Zary gets back, then run Kadri-Zary-Backs-Frost down the middle.

So people thought Kuzmenko was a throw-in/cap dump in the Lindholm trade, but no he actually helped getting the Flames two middle six players.

Conroy cleans up in these big blockbuster trades.

Expanded trade tree looks pretty good

Out:
Lindholm
Pelletier
2nd

In:
Farabee
Frost
1st
Bru

I excluded the 7th and that random Finnish guy because I don’t remember his name

Hard to hate this trade, apart from losing Pelts.

Not great for a rebuilding team to give up a 2nd but these two guys fit our timeline really well, and also might help us win now. Makes total sense from the Flames perspective.

Could really see Kuz finding success with Michkov, they have history together. His time here was obviously up though.

Add Jurmo, Gridin (1st) Luke Misa, Eric Jamieson (traded the 4th) to the trade tree.

Its like a f***ing christmas tree.

Wow congrats. I think you just took Philly to the wood shed

Like to bet you get 100+ pts next year from those 2

From a value perspective this is a pretty clear win. It's pretty hard to criticize it in any way. The only downside is I still think we are headed straight back to the middle of the pack. I really wanted us to tear it all the way down. I've come to the conclusion we will never win a cup again until Norman isn't the owner anymore. Conroy has done a fantastic job, but Norman still dictates direction. Maybe Conroy can make enough positive value deals to win with only one elite piece in Wolf.
