Those types of shots I think are intentional where you expect to bounce towards the dots for a chance of recovery, which we sorta did. Not intended for a corner or behind the net recovery.

Not result we wanted, but at least the boys push to the end vs mailing it in. I'll take that silver lining.
Idk. With that little time left, get the puck to the net if there is no other play. Trying to get a bounce off the boards wasn't the play to make there IMO.

I agree that the push was nice, but that was a very disappointing end.

9-2 in penalties is insane. Plenty of missed calls on the Sens, but sure didn't miss any on the Flames. Hard to get anything going when you're shorthanded for most of the game.
Not the Flames best game, but holy crap.

Kind of doubt we win this one. Sens are basically already playing for their season and our guys have got to be fat and happy after that homestand.

Yeah. Was always going to be a tall task. Flames took too many penalties but seemed like there was two different rulebooks in this one to me. Some real dubious calls IMO.

Hard to play offense when you're in the box half the game but when they did there was a real hesitancy to shoot from a lot of players. Kuzmenko could use a night in the PB. So could a couple other guys tbh. Maybe could use some fresh blood with some weakish opponents coming up this week.

Wolf was very solid again, really only had a chance on two of those goals and they would have been 10 bell saves. I thought challenging that 2nd goal was the right call, Kirkland very obviously got pushed into their goaltender. What's he supposed to do? Dive out of the way to avoid contact?

I mean, that's kinda fair. But prior to that push, I think the Sens were doing a good job blocking those types of plays. They're a Green coached team that clog the front of the net and certain lanes like the Hartley era Flames. I kinda maybe understand what was going on for that chip due to the Sens blocking a few of those plays for the few minutes prior, one or two of which went the other way dangerously. Luckily they were not goals for Ottawa. But I get where you're coming from too because we did score one in the front with Kadri just moments prior.

That being said, I only got a chance to watch the last 9 minutes of the game or so, so I don't have the whole game/players in perspective and the hole they had to dig themselves out of. However, based on the rapid recap, it seems if a puck bounced slightly different, the game might have been closer/gone to OT. I was kinda surprised how many goals on both sides were scored with lacking crease front coverage.

Tell those turkeys to post embarrassing pics of themselves with giant thanksgiving turkeys for being turkeys tonight?

I dunno. Shit happens. This isn't even a game where you just expect to burn the tapes and move on. It seems the game was technically winnable, certain things didn't go our way but the world wasn't against us, but we also did ourselves no favors. I don't even know whether to call this a trap game. We're ranked higher than where we are supposed to be vs an Ottawa team sitting where we ought to be because they're having issues putting things together with some high end talent.
