HF Habs: Flames or Panthers 1st Round Pick 2025: Part II

There's also a Minnesota-Calgary game left to play.

Wild's next 5 games: @ NYR, @ NYI, vs Dallas, vs SJS, @ Calgary.
That's some hungry teams Minny will be pkaying.

If Calgary win the two games they have in hand and beat Minny in their head to head, they're tied with 6 other games each on the scedule...

Definitely time to root against Calgary. They're 8 points out of bottom 10 with 9 games to go... And definitely time to root for Minny and St. Louis.

And If my grandmother mother had wheels she’d be a bicycle.

Calgary went down 2-0 to Utah, but they just scored to make it 2-1. About 2 minutes left in 2nd period.

Blues won tonight, so they actually pass Minnesota and move into WC1.

Wild are now in WC2. Flames are 6 points back of Minnesota with only 2 games in hand.

Stranger things have happened that the Flames winning two and a row and beating Minny...

It seems ever year something like that happens as the playoff season comes down to the wire...

And to that point, the Flames definitely aren't out of the bottom 10 yet. If the Flames start to really suck in these last 8 games, they can finish bottom 10.

Not much time left in the season, they are pretty much done.

Hold the line. Florida was 'pretty much done', too. They've got a fairly easy schedule as well.

It's not going to happen, they're definitely making the no man's land, we're going to pick somewhere between 13-16.

The Flames were riding high off of Wolfs insane performances. Now that he’s come back down to earth and not covering for their shortcomings, it’s business as usual. They’re cooked.

It's looking good. But the fat lady hasn't sung yet.

They're not guaranteed to miss. And they're not guaranteed to finish bottom.

Many said we were guaranteed to miss the playoffs heading into the 4 nations break...they didn't know what they were talking about talking in those absolutes.

It looks like Calgary is going to beat Anaheim. They're leading 3-1 after 2.

A win moves them to within 5 points of Minnesota, with a game in hand & a game to still play against Minnesota.

Calgary will play that game in hand Saturday night, as they host Vegas.

Wild don't play again until Sunday when they host Dallas - a team that is really rolling right now. Dallas is 8-0-2 in last 10, and have won 7 consecutive games.

After the game in hand with Vegas, Calgary will play against San Jose 2 times and Anaheim again. If they beat Minnesota, they can make the playoffs.
