Flames or Panthers 1st Round Pick 2025: Part II

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Utah loses 4-2 to Seattle. Kakko scores the winning goal off a horrendous play by Sergachev. He has all the time in the world to do a hard shoot around the boards from the RW side; instead he shoots it at the net & hits the outside post.

Velmalka panicks & pushes the puck behind the net right to Kakko, who wraps it into an empty net. Lol

Tolvanen gets an empty net goal to seal it.

Huge loss for Utah. They actually drop to 11th, with Blues moving to 10th due to RWs.

We need Calgary to stay ahead of 10 teams. I guess it's good Seattle beat Anaheim, to keep Anaheim behind Calgary.

But Calgary is only 3 points ahead of Boston and Detroit who are tied for 10th last. Calgary has to do ok down the stretch to not fall into the top 10. We'll see what happens... At this point I'd take them making the playoffs and getting the 17th pick over the risk of them falling into the bottom 10 and we have to get Florida's pick again.

8 pts is a big lead for Calgary to overcome to grab WC1 from Minnesota. I can see all those teams making it, though.

Going to come right down to the wire. Calgary has a rough schedule the remainder of the month. Still think it’s more than likely they slip into the top 10.

We need to start hoping FLA doesn’t win the division!
