If shutting a guy down means keeping him to 14 points, what's the result of not shutting him down?

Missed the game because of work. All I can say is the Oilers own Markstrom for years. We were dominant for a game and a half if it wasn’t for him. Anyway, put Vladar in and go from there. Maybe it’s not his fault but he gives the Oilers a huge psychological lift.

Even then thats 14 points in 7 games against LA

To answer your question, he has 9 points in 3 games against CGY

Winnipeg knew how to shut him down, Chicago before that. LA without Doughty limited him to his reg season average. For whatever reason Sutter's strategy isnt working. At all.

Maybe it's time to try something different, because clearly Markstrom struggles against Edmonton.
