Hockey is the only sport where the start time changes game to game.

In other sports the listed start time is what it is. If a NFL game starts at 1:07 the ball is in the air at 1:07, It's not when they shake hands and have a coin flip.

I heard in baseball for the minor leagues, umpires can get fired if they consistently start games later than the listed times.
