8 minutes left down 2.

Classic OT loss game coming up. Need to get a point to think we're actually a capable playoff team.

Damn, was hoping Elvis would shoot for the empty net. I am 100% ok with a goalie scoring against us; they're such a rare play.

ENG that wasn't Elvis, bullshit.

1/4 season w/o scoring 4 or more goals in a game. The forwards, sans coronato and Zary, have totally failed this season in giving the goalies any support whatsoever.

This isn’t a good team. They have a marginally better than 50-60% chance to win when they get perfect goaltending. Otherwise they’re toast.

Frustrating. Hope the team picks its lane soon. Either the forwards pick up the slack or we start imploding and selling whatever vets we can. But being a flames fan, we’re going to tread water and give up the 12th pick to MTL.

That was just a bad performance from the Flames.

Need to fix their road game. They just pretty well nullified that home winning streak.

Only the Sharks are worse on the road than the Flames in our division. Meanwhile we're the best home team in the division. If the Flames start slipping at home we'll have a shot at Misa. If they pick up their game on the road we have a legit shot at playoffs.

Rare game you can say we didn't have the better goalie. Wolf wasn't bad but not as sharp as usual. Team started again like they had NyQuil in their warmup water bottles. Get outworked and it's an auto-loss.

Kuz needs to sit, another game where he was completely useless. Least it's becoming clear he's nothing but trade bait.
Thought Ras, Coronato, Zary, Shara, Lomberg were all pretty good. Great to see Marty get involved physically, has been lacking that edge so hope he can continue that.
Weegar, Backlund, Hubes, Bahl, Kadri not good very bad.

Likely won't see it tomorrow but let's give some Wranglers a shot next home game. I really don't need to see any more Rooney or Hanley. Also realize it's our lot in life but sick of getting the short end of the reffing stick.

I see I missed us getting smoked by Columbus

Alrighty then

Been so busy I thought it was an afternoon game, can't keep up these days.

Only thing I have to say at this moment is we really need to mix up these forward lines. They are generating next to nothing. Detroit game, nothing, this game, nothing.
If Huberdeau is a playmaker, and Kuzmenko is a goal scorer, well, why not give that a shot?
Youth line could be nice. Zary with Popsicle and Coronato.
Or, we can just stick to this and generate nothing. I guess that's why I'm not an NHL coach.

I'd like to see Kuz/Hubes. Yep time to try things when no one is scoring these days

I've seen it with Wolf all along that unless he's perfect or close to it there'll be those goals that bigger bodies would be in the way of by luck or position. Doesn't sound like your ragging on him hard or anything but yeah it's still up for me to find out if the superstardom from the AHL will translate or if he'll trend toward good to average. At the NHL level it is what it is whether I like it or not, even slight deficiencies get exploited.

Yeah the only one I didn't like was the 1st one. Got a piece of it but still a unscreened wrister from the half boards. The 3rd goal he maybe slid a little too far but I would have him 3rd or 4th on the blame list on that one. The other two would have been great saves.

Was more that Merzlikins was quite good. Some of that was the Flames making him look good but he had some solid saves.

Just took the time to watch these goals through . . .

1st one looked like he got beat pretty clean over the left shoulder, 2nd one couldn't see the vid says it's unavailable, 3rd goal yeah slid way out of position but looked like others were to blame more, 4th one maybe could have played the shooter a bit better.

Yeah hopefully just a bit of a one-off. Don't know what the game was like but wouldn't be surprised if the team was ass in front of Dustin. He's been mostly excellent otherwise so we'll see. I'm just a little bit wait and see still hoping he can be even close to what many project.

Anyway, on to the next one.
