Team is much better team with Dach at wing. You need puck possession in O-zone.Evans is centering the 2nd line at practice this morning
Sadly, Dach has been very slow to recover from his knee issues.......he is 12 games in, and looking no better each game? The expectation was Dach would be 2nd line center. He was pretty decent before his knee injury, but he's been absolutely shit. -14 is just f***ing laughable.
In hindsight, we should have signed or traded for a mid-roster center, though, because Dvorak has completely lost his ability to win face-offs, which is like the only thing he was ever really good at.
Dach & Dvorak are both playing severely below expectations. I mean Dvo had low expectations coming into the season, and he still can't manage to be even a little bit helpful.
Almost everyone on this board was excited about Dach coming back & providing us depth. Suzuki, Dach, Evans & Dvorak isn't a bad center unit - theoretically, but D & D have choked the f***ing optimism out of everyone. They've both been atrocious at center leaving us Suzuki & Evans and a not-yet-ready Kapanen as our centers.
Tomorrow should be a fun day between this trainwreck of a team and the US elections.
Dach I have some patience for but Newhook is pure ass.
Yup, they'd be a good cycle unit. You have a speedy, defensive conscious center with a playmaker (Slafkovsky) & a net front guy in Gallagher. It would be our best defensive line by far & probably add offense in the way Tatar-Danault-Gallagher did.
Newhook - Dvorak - Anderson is a pretty ugly 3rd line, but oh well. Armia on the 4th is where he should be. Kapanen needs to be sent back to SHL.
I feel like he finally healed up from all those injuries he had over the years. He looks much better this season.I remember a time when Gallagher was the spark plug of this team. I know times have changed and he is older now but I like the way he is playing. He could potentially get this team going again. We need a little character and team toughness. We're way too soft, and it seems like everyone is playing for themselves, trying not to make a mistake. (Except for Hutson probably)
