Actually to be fair the 2nd had its moments but they were mostly fleeting. I think when the Flames haven't scored its harder to get invested in the game.

I disagree. The odds we get shutout are about 1-in-30, which means if they haven't scored yet we can look forward to seeing them score soon. If they've already scored, there's a much more significant chance that they won't score from that point on.

It's a perversion of statistics that is meant to be ironic. We've been shutout 2 times this season in ~60 games. Therefore if we have zero goals there's a 97% chance that we'll score before the end of the game because we don't get shutout 97% of the time.
