I hope the leadership guys get to show some leadership like leaders today
We are real proud of how we responded out there on the ice today

Guys like Sid and Rust are really engaged and leading by example, and we feel our young guys are able to learn a lot right now

I always felt like Cs and As are just letters.. But real leadership happens from the locker room out, Nieto brings that experience about what it takes to be an NHLer directly to our prospects

I hope they string a little win streak together.

Some of the models have us closer to being a playoff team than MoneyPuck.

With Boston and NYR falling off a cliff, I think if they can go on a little run we could easily be back in the 7th / 8th seed position.

I hope if they do they still look for deals like Tomasino. I am happy that they are actually keeping pickering up. It would be nice if Dubas can moved Nieto or Accari like Eller

Making moves on D before playing the Panthers of all teams is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. If we allow fewer than five goals, it will be a pre-Christmas miracle.

I am glad they are playing Pickering. He is the only + defensemen lol

Funny as well that Poulin is 1 of the 3 forwards with a + but can't have too many young guys.

What's the record for the worst goal difference of a team that made the playoffs in the cap era? Asking for a friend.

2023-24 Capitals with their -37 have had the worst goal differential since the cap was introduced.

2011-12 Florida Panthers won their Division with a -24 goal differential.

It would. But since November 1st they are tied for top 8 in the east.
This week should be a good test to see whether this streak is meaningful or not. The Panthers are very good. The Rangers are struggling but still a good team and also one that we historically have a hard time with at times under Sullivan. The Leafs are a good team.

If the Pens can go 2-1 this week or better and look generally competent in the games then I might start to dare to hope. They've dug such a hole that they can't really afford a lot of 1-2 or 0-3 weeks moving forward.

Which is why you have to actually commit to a tank and rebuild, not hope it passively shows up without having to do anything.

Most likely scenario is we do just good enough to get out of the top 5OA pick range and yet still miss playoffs by a few points.
