Why though? I get that we desperately need help on RD but I don't really see how Boqvist moves the needle. By all accounts he's just another Barron type guy who's too soft and mistake prone defensively and not good enough offensively to make up for those deficiencies.

Guhle is out longterm and we dont have much in Laval

Out of Dahlin, Hughes, Boqvist, Bouchard, and Dobson, would you have believed me if I told you Hughes will be the most solid in the defensive end of the ice in 2025?

Even during the draft Hughes was seen miles ahead defensively than Bouchard and Boqvist though. Yeah for sure it's been a surprise he's been better than both Dahlin and Dobson defensively.

Ya the only question on Hughes was how we would hold up getting hit in the NHL and in the regular season it's been no prob. In the playoffs he got keyed on but was ok. Banged up but he functions fine
