With tax savings, think this opens up 10mil cap space for the Panthers.

He just entered Maurice's dog house and I guess he wasn't going to get out of it outside of injuries. Bjornfoot also has looked decent with his callup.

Buffalo is playing a lot of bums on D and this is a cheap flyer from the same draft class and country as Dahlin who would know him well.

Maybe they finally try literally anything to change literally anything.

But probably not.

He's got some scary bad defensive metrics on one of the better 2-way teams in the league. Might want to think that any change is good but that guy is not it.

If they’re moving an offensive D out in a big move like many suspect…they’re going to replace him with what? Ryan Johnson?

I get the idea of trying something new. Trying to put a shine on a turd like Boqvist though, after how hard he's struggled and wedged himself firmly into Maurice's doghouse ain't it.

Probably still less awkward than the Joseph brothers doing a "Christmas family photoshoot" for St. Louis on December 16 and then PO Joseph getting traded December 18
Speaking of, and I rarely ever advocate for waiver claims, I'd be happy if Pittsburgh claimed Boqvist and waived PO Joseph. Joseph has been our worst d-man since being acquired (including Graves, somehow) and at least there is some technical element to Boqvist that has NHL upside.

Basically what I'm saying is that I want to reunite the family.........and Pittsburgh is just no place for a family reunion.
