Damn i wanted the Pens to grab Marchessault. Probably a better chance for him to get NHL time in FLA though.

Good luck JAM, sad to see him go, but he deserves a better chance and he knew he will get it somewhere else. Could turn out a huge steal if he makes it as a top6.

Florida has like 40 forwards.

Who takes jams spot in Tampa? Gourde?

Likely one of the Swiss kids. Vermin or Richard. Both are better prepared for the bottom-6, especially Richard deserves his chance and could turn out a great bottom 6er as he has skill and can get a little nasty.

Agreed. As of now the 13F is Condra and Vermin (24) / Richard (23) are the next ones up on the development ladder and they deserve their shot this season. Hope Yzerman doesn't sign anyone for a third line / fourth line role and the organizations gives the kids a shot at the bottom 3 forward positions.

It's not like Marchessault really had a spot when we were healthy anyway, which was a shame.

Good signing by Florida. If this guy gets a legit opportunity, I don't think anyone in TB will be surprised if he responds by putting up 40, maybe even 50 points.

Very underrated shot. Great release. And seriously feisty despite being built like a garden gnome.

Wish him all the best.

Absolutly agree with you. Same thing as with Namestnikov, neither got a big enough chance to take other guys places, while both likely were good enough to do so.
Anyways best of luck March, hope you get the chance you have fought so hard for in your career.

He played in the bottom 6.

To be honest, he saw a lot of time on the top line as well as some powerplay minutes. Also was a strong presence on the PK.

Wasn't much of a fan of him, but he filled his role well enough. I think 950k is pretty cheap too..
