Haha i like how other teams now do it because of vegas, what a can of worms.
Didn't Chicago and Tampa do it first?

Patrick Kane was the first big one I remember.Didn't Chicago and Tampa do it first?
Thanks for the input Panthers fan.Tkachuk has been fighting a LBI for a good portion of the season, ever since a knee on knee hit by Kucherov. If Chucky was healthy enough to play he would play through literally anything he could.
And the Jones move was made and cap compliant before this IR move was even made for Matthew.

If your point of view is “if you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying”, I get that. Push all the boundaries you can to win.At this point none of that matters. Precedent has shown the league isn't going to say "are you really injured" and the line between hurt and injured blurs a lot. After 60+ games a lot of guys are "hurt" and if their team is comfortable making the playoffs without them, it sort of makes sense to just do it this way. It'll continue to happen until the league changes something.
In general I don't agree with LTIR and then loading up, I hope they find a way to change it, but for now you can't hold it against anyone for doing it.
You replied exactly as I said a person who sees this “injury” through Panthers glasses would. You didn’t add anything, you just agreed with me. You could have saved your time and just pushed the “like” button on my comment.Pesky narratives.
He is injured, and I would prefer him back and healthy now over any additional stupidity you are trying to imply is planned out. We had 8 regulars at the 4 Nations and held our collective cheeks that something terrible wouldn't derail our aspirations for this season. If your point of view is “if you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying”, I get that. Push all the boundaries you can to win.
But to the comment I replied to was complete cognitive dissonance. Let’s not pretend teams who hold players back on IR are not abusing the system.

Sure, but it blew up as a discussion after Vegas.Didn't Chicago and Tampa do it first?
Was just one game, but he looked solid last night. Didn’t look out of place and didn’t make any glaring mistakes. He’s also on 2nd pair, is probably with the most sound defense partner he’s had in years and has players around him who play well in a system they know. He was strong on the PK, will get worked into the PP more at some point, and still logged a lot of minutes.Jones is a flawed defenseman. He was the day the Blackhawks traded for him in one of the worst trades of the last 10 years.
Not sure if anybody has brought it up, but he really cannot figure out how to gap up, which makes him catastrophic at defending the rush.
His decision making makes you want to pull your hair out at times.
He can skate well forwards but lacks lateral speed.
You give him heavy o-zone starts and put up with his determination to try and make shots through shin-pads, you'll get the most out of him.
There's no doubt he's a physical specimen. You'll never need to worry about him getting tired or even injured, and he can certainly handle himself along the boards.
Meh, we won our first Cup while being compliant, and we all think Tkachuk would play if he could. The 4 nations meant a lot of him and he did his best to play, he played with a broken sternum in the Finals, he would’ve played more in the tourney if he could have. He’s injured. I’m skeptical we’ll see him at all in the playoffs, but if he’s there game 1, well weren’t the first to do it I guess. We need Chucky out there, but I’d prefer not to look like we’re circumventing. If you belive his injury is legitimate. But I think most people who don't wear Panthers don’t glasses believe it's just a coincidence that he will get better the second cap restraints are released. Meanwhile the Panthers will use his cap space to add to the team.
Actually blew up after Tampa, Vegas followed suit and added to the insanity.Sure, but it blew up as a discussion after Vegas.
Yeah I do tend to agree. Kane had a clear injury. A lot of the stuff now a days is like muscle injuries or back injuries or random stuff you can't really prove how much its actually affecting someone.kane did break his collerbone like 7 weeks before the end of the season that's a bit different then injures that you cannot tell how they are coming without the player telling you.
It's less so that injuries are fake and more so they time the return so that it always coincides with the start of the postseason (when there's no cap).kane did break his collerbone like 7 weeks before the end of the season that's a bit different then injures that you cannot tell how they are coming without the player telling you.
So you’re crying about Florida who has a legitimate injury (1 year after winning 100% legit) but no whining about Vegas for the last 4 years with the same player 3 of those years? Not yet. Will be unless they do nothing more until the deadline or Tkachuk doesn’t play in the playoffs.
Doubt either of those happen
The Panthers don’t even have the assets to add like crazy. His injury is legitimate lol. It’s just so crazy the Panthers won last year with no LTIR, no bullshit but somehow people are pissing their pants now with a real injury lmao.If you belive his injury is legitimate. People just liked when Florida was the doormat of the league.Everyone saw he couldn’t move in the 4nations finals a week ago yet people just question whether or not he’s really injured
Yes I’m sure he faked the 4nations to help Florida..
I’m not whining about anything. So you’re crying about Florida who has a legitimate injury (1 year after winning 100% legit) but no whining about Vegas for the last 4 years with the same player 3 of those years? View attachment 986369
Actually hope they do. They won the legit way, they have a legit injury now, everyone wants another Cup. Grab the middle fingers from Tampa and Vegas and LOAD UP. Welcome Chucky back game 1, people are gonna hate anyway. I’m here for it.I’m not whining about anything.
I’m pointing out that I think a salary cap loop hole scam is happening again. Just like Tampa and vegas in the past.
I haven’t said a word about Florida winning the cup last year. Has nothing to do with this trade and the upcoming stuff that I think Florida is gonna do.
If you don’t think Florida is gonna do what I’m saying..fine. Up to you.
Time will tell
Pissing their pants? What a dumb straw man. If you could just stick to things that have been said rather than just making things up that would be great. The Panthers don’t even have the assets to add like crazy. His injury is legitimate lol. The Leafs literally paid out 100 million in salary last year, what was the cap again?I’m not whining about anything.
