Well yeah Balinskis sucksIn person he does look slow and clunky. On a second pair...he's just fine. Now 88 and 26 look absolutely caved in live. Frustratingly so.

Yup. Keep him on the second pair and he’s fine. Mikkola is a great partner for him. Big and rangy. Jones has some nice puck moving ability too.I think he’s been fantastic. I’m really happy with this trade.
I mean Chicago sucks but their fans were being super annoying lol. He’s still gonna be goodKnight cratering back to Earth
Greedy, but it would be nice for Zito to find another gem in FA for the blueline again.
This year our starting 6 is fine, but the depth isn't really up to the task, even for 3rd pairing duties. Definitely got spoiled with someone like OEL on the 3rd pairing at times. Balsacks was a nice find, but not sure if he's ever going to get that consistency for full time 3rd pairing, and Schmidt is unfortunately here on the downside of his playing career.
Jones would definitely shine in that 2nd pairing role, but he's capable of 1st pairing with a guy like Forsling-especially once they get the ice chemistry down.
What's the boards thoughts on Nause/Alscher/Benning and their ETA-if at all for the NHL?

By the time he is "good," will it really matter for Chicago? He is turning 24 in a few weeks. They are a dumpster fire right now. I think Knight is what he is at this point: a pretty average starter in the NHL and a good backup, but will be overpriced.
