He hasn't looked much better than Ekblad on the 1st unit, but he only just got the role when most of the team started playing like crap.

A bit disappointing first 7 games. But it's only 7 games..

Well, Florida gives up a lot of rushes, going back to the first year with Maurice IIRC.

I think he got caught a few times and while his skating isn't bad, it's no Forsling or Montour out there being able to flip on a switch.

We knew the Panthers weren't getting a perfect defenseman. They just really need to play the situations better. Up two goals, there's no reason any skater should be getting past two defensemen.

Team has looked poor overall, and we’re blaming Seth ?

He was one of our best players in the stretch right before the cold-streak…

Jones has been on our team for less than 10 games, is seeing a total new-system and new teammates and everything… He is great, and will be great.

People are really something on the internet.

I thought he was excellent the first 3 and now these last couple he’s been up and down. Hes playing like 27 minutes lol

The only reason he’s getting shit is because that mistake last night was super glaring getting beat wide like that. But no one wants to blame Balinskis for that grenade up the middle as per usual. Balinskis also recognized Jones was going to get beat and didn’t even help attempt to modify his position. It’s on Jones but Balinskis was dogshit in that play too.

Agreed, that was all Ballzack. And then Jones had to abruptly pivot and a start skating back hard to catch his man and he just didn't have any gas left late in the 3rd. Other than that, I thought he was decent last night .
