Nice deal for the Panthers. It probably seems like a lot for a guy whose ELC hasn't even expired, but he is the real deal and D men are about to get paid big time. With guys like Hedman, Karlsson and Doughty coming up in the next few years, I think there'll be a shift in highest paid players (#1 D have been getting the shaft for a while).
