There was a proposal not too long ago and both Panthers and Habs fans seemed to be content with it:

Petry+Byron+4th for 15OA+Pysyk+Mascherin+conditional 2nd/3rd.

Panthers don't have the rights to Mascherin anymore but it can be replaced with something else I think, not sure what would be fair though.

Both Petry and Braun fit the bill. Petry is probably a bit more costly to acquire. What would the offer be for either? I'm guessing value needs to be evened out for Braun (Sharks add).

I will second this. He's literally exactly what you need and will be cost controlled and way younger than anyone you'll aquire in a trade. Just wait it out 2 years until Wilde and other prospects develop to become contenders.

I don’t see the 15th OA in play, unless it’s used to get a terrific forward (not one year left Pacioretty, for cryin out loud).

I see us using the pick on a player and adding the 2nd to a package in a trade if we go that route.
