It has nothing to do with "killer instinct" IMO. It has to do with all the teams are still really damn good, even though some are much better than others, and it's hard to win 4 out of 7 games in a series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Lots of parity in much of the NHL. There's a reason why the general consensus is that it's like the hardest trophy to win in pro sports. It also provides some context into what the Hawks did during their run being ridiculously impressive in this day and age.5 series are already going 6+ games. It’ll be 6 if Jersey pulls out the win tonight. It’s amazing how little killer instinct there is around the league. And a few of these series had their opponent dead to rights too.
And Toronto fans tried saying Matthews is better than prime Kane lmaoounless they hoist the cup this year, i'd scrap that team for parts and launch the remainder into the sun. no reason for anyone in toronto to think there's any kind of future for them here. been that way for years, will be that way until further notice.
They should fire RodNot impressed with the Canes. Half the Devils are in the hospital and they had all kinds of issues with them.
Understandable, a lot of miles on him.Doughty looks pretty rough out there.
I’d think most series go 6 or 7 games if someone looked into the numbers. How many series in the dynasty Hawks era went less than 6 games? It has nothing to do with "killer instinct" IMO. Never have been, probably won't ever be with this core. Slavin is incredible and Aho is very good but they're a great regular season team who isn't skilled enough to win a Cup.Not impressed with the Canes. Half the Devils are in the hospital and they had all kinds of issues with them.
Expansion will suck. Luckily the Hawks will be out of their rebuild by the time there's a 36 team league and hopefully can feast on this watered down leagueThink this is just the new normal with the recent expansion, which IMO wasn’t needed.
So needless to say I’m also against the inevitable further expansion around the corner.
