Curious though, on the subject of hat tricks . Is it just me or have there been an exorbitant number of them compared to recent seasons?

Hmm... scoring definitely seems up this season, in general

According to hockey-ref, there were 102 hat tricks last season, and we're currently at 46 hat tricks so far this season, at the halfway mark, so not up from last year, but if you look back over the past 5-10 years, they're definitely up
 
Urho Vaakanainen moves into full ownership of first, leading the league with 68GP without a goal.
At the same time Andreas Englund takes full fourth.

Our leader board currently looks as follows, with Casey Fitzgerald waiting in the wings with 59GP.

18/02/23 - Arturs Silovs (VAN) vs. (PHI) W




Foudy was tied for 4th on our leader board before scoring in his 63rd game.
This was his first career regular season goal, though he did score in the playoffs back on August 9, 2020.
Foudy was also our only forward on the leaderboard. The next closest forward at the moment is VAN's William Lockwood who sits 11th in GP with 28.
