And with the Columbus' first first-goal of the season, that brings us to the end of the regular season!
Our finally tallies look like this:
111 first goals scored this season!
36 first hat tricks!
8 first wins!
13 first shut outs!
Anaheim had the most goals for, with a very impressive 9 (Comtois, Street, Sherwood, Steel, Mahura, Terry, Megna, Jones, Welinski). Ottawa came in a close second with 8.
Vegas ended the season with 0.
Both Boston and Ottawa had the most goals against, with 7!
Boston - Hronek, Valimaki, Yamamoto, Ozhiganov, Bunting, Mahura, Hirose
Ottawa - Joseph, Bayreuther, Lewington, Bowey, Blueger, Gabriel, Texier
Edmonton, Florida, and Pittburgh managed to make it through the whole season with 0 goals against.
Anaheim had the largest positive goal differential, with +5 and Arizona and Chicago were tied with the largest negative goal differential, with -4 each.
Worth noting, Montreal had an impressive 5 first hat tricks this season! (Danault, Gallagher, Shaw, Armia, Poehling)
I'll update if any firsts occur in the playoffs, but, otherwise, see you next year!
