Hello again everyone, I hope everyone had a great summer. Once again I'll be doing the First Goal Game and hope everyone participates.

I liked the rules from last year however, if anyone has suggestions please feel free to post them and they can be discussed and incorporated into the rules if the majority agree.

Here are the rules for this year.

Scoring will be as follows:

Top 9 Forward - 2 points

4th line and defenseman 3 points

Goalie - 10 points (goal only assist 1 point)

Assist on the 1st goal 1 point

This is the 1st goal game so you must pick a player.

I'd give 2 points for successfuly picking "no one" (Canes get shutout). I know you think that's rooting against the Canes but I don't agree. Just because you might think the Canes won't score doesn't mean you don't want them to score.

Matter of fact, I'll pick against the Canes at times as kind of a reverse jinx, knowing that whatever I pick stands a good chance of not happening.
