Hey all
Looking for some insight on firesticks, are they worth it when it comes to watching all the Hab games? Is the TSN streaming app that one needs to see them all? and NFL, MLB as well
thanks for any input you can give

I have fire sticks on everyone of my tvs and they’re awesome. Use a SNNow subscription because I’m out of Habs area and never had an issue except when out of my area in holiday.

Depending on where you live you'll need either a SN Subscription (outside habs region) or an SN and TSN Subscription (inside the region). I live in Toronto and I have SN and it's fine a bit glitchy at times but I get all the games in english or french. if you lived in MTL though the games that are covered by TSN are out of bounds and you'll need both. Subscription to SN premium is $200 for the year, TSN is like an extra $20/mth on top of that. It's been worth it for me.

Now in terms the device, the fire stick is just a player, no different then an apple TV/ Roku/ chromecast. If you have a firetv/smarttv or an existing smart tv device you may already have this available. The only watchout is that an apple tv seems to hate the SN app so i actually have a fire Stick in my lviing room and an apple tv in my bedroom. When watching in my bedroom on the appleTV it seems to hate SN and It's smoother to stream via my phone/ Ipad when watching it natively on the AppleTV. I work for the smile so i'd obviously recommend a fire stick, there is different quality so get the one that fits your TV. I.e. don't buy the 4k if you don't have a 4k tv. Otherwise your good to go

Depends on the quality you want
but generally, cost effective and with SN Now, you get every game in the NHL. It replaced the NHL app for out of region games. I don’t like it as much
As the NHL app, but it’s all we got.

As long as you have a subscription to the various providers, you get all the channels you want including Bell Fibe, if you have it and you won’t have to pay the monthly costs to rent their receivers. It’s been great.

SN now sucks goat balls, go IPTV and never give them a dime. you can't watch games out of canada any more so no more hockey on holidays. The entire app is awful, sort of like the entire SN broadcast crew

Just want to save cash, cable is $$$
Anyone can buy a Firestick. They’re not expensive. However, as you’re well aware, you’ll have to find a source for content and someone who will be there for you in the event of a glitch or if programming goes down.

Your best bet is to ask family, friends and co-workers (even if they are Figsters!) and find out who is supplying content to their Firesticks. You’ll be dealing with someone local and you’ll have had a reference so you’ll have some comfort in that.

Hoping this helps.
