Flames aren't that good but they definitely aren't god awful either. I'd say this is more of just the Avs showing how dangerous they can be when they're on their A game. Probably the highest ceiling of anyone in the West if you add a healthy Nuke.

I'm not willing to write Malinski off yet.

I mean, he's had a rotation of CDH (38GP), Middleton (26GP), Kylington (8GP) and Ludvid (8GP). Anybody would struggle with that crap shoot, let alone the constant rotations.

I get it. But that bottom pairing isn't ever going to be great so if you're a prospect you have to show me upside. And he's been trending downward heavily.
