Firing 1 coach if they can't get going may not be a bad idea, but it's obviously won't happen. Maybe they need a closed door meeting? Maybe Mcdavid and Drai can sit a game so everyone else works harder? Maybe we waive a player? IDK

Something needs to change though. Some spark is needed.....

How long has Schwartz been here? How has the goaltending been under his watch? How long have Coffey and Stuart been here? Schwartz should've been gone after the Campbell fiasco at minimum. One guy has had the equivalent of 27 cat lives, the other 2 have had like 1 or 2.

He has done a lot with what we have. Bouch has fought injuries and slumped hard at times, Nurse and Kulak look better than they have, Emberson has been passable and Ekholm has been good although he is definitely not getting any quicker year over year skating wise. The depth forwards and goaltening have been bigger issues than the D this season.

Well I see Bouchard making the same dumbass mistakes as he always had. Worse yet, his motor is shit, as it always has been. It’s gotta be on the coaches. He’s a super high draft pick. How the hell havnt the coaches improved his motor? Like come on man.

At some point it also falls of the player. It might be working out to our favor in terms of signing him to a bridge or a cheaper longer term contract. He is still a useful player more often than not.

I'm ok with firing a coach, but in my opinion it shouldn't be Stuart and Coffey. It should be Gulutzan. The offense and the PP have taken a noticeable step back this year.

But either way, the way this board has behaved since the Oilers have come back has been disgraceful. I get they've been shit for two games and had been struggling before the break, but if you think a bad 3 or 4 game stretch is a fireable offence you need to give your head a shake.

Get this team a goalie and a lot of the issues we have go away.
