Fire Knoblauch

what a bum..
Reverts back to McDrai because he is a dumb dumb. Also, staples the duo with Perry the fossil as an anchor while scratching J.Skinner yet again.

Tocchet available now. I would like him just for the honesty in post games

Knob did a great job last season but Tocchet is a clear upgrade and we should be all-in on him
Better than Knoblauch? How do you figure that? Tocchet rode an unsustainable coaching bump to a fluke season, promptly stood by and watched his entire team implode in an embarrassingly spectacular fashion, and immediately took his ball and went home to avoid any fallout before people realized how much he was at fault.

Oilers would be out to lunch to even consider replacing Knob with Tocchet.

Ricky T is a one trick pony. Work harder. That’s it. No thanks. Knobs is so under appreciated here. Everybody just wants a mouth breather that shows ‘emotion’ and wins jack shit.

Knobs needs to learn to keep the lines the same and stop the blender. Look what's happened the past few games by not switching everything

There are a shitload of things that a HC sees and knows that Joe fan doesn’t. Contrary to public opinion, he’s not stupid. We might not see it, or know the reason, but everything is well thought out. His temperament is the right fit for this team. They don’t need some lunkhead yelling at them, that’s not how they respond. A cerebral coach works well with this group. I said all season that the hitting would come in the playoffs, to be patient, and it now has, right on schedule. Everything has its time and place for this group.

Not at all fan of Tocchet, but would still like to see a coaching upgrade. The biggest parts of this bounceback are finally starting Pickard (if he overruled Schwartz as some speculated, then those are bonus points), Kane and Klingberg stepping up huge and healthy, and Hiller being a downright terrible coach

There were a lot of issues throughout the season that were not helped by coaching. The post-season story continues to be written.

Mike Sullivan is available 😬👀
HFOilers: ''So you're telling me there's a chance 😬👀''

Sure, I never said we are smarter than the coach. What I am saying is he finally has kept some lines together and we look amazing. The whole year he's one of the only coaches that constantly had the lines in the blender and it's totally fair to criticize that. Are we not allowed to comment or have an opinion on how he does business? It's a chat board.

Tocchet isn’t an upgrade on knob

Knobs did blend lines and they worked great. He had Perry, Brown and even Kane taking turns with McDrai at times and switched up D pairings to hide Emberson all night.
How about we just let him do his job and admit that he is a good coach.

I've never said he isn't a good coach. I just said he needs to stop the line blender and everyone has agreed that is to be true this season.

He did not blend the lines. This is the first time he's actually kept something together.
Rotation of players with Mcdrai isn't a line blender............

FYI Knobs has admitted Coffey handles all things d pairing related so I have no idea how that is relevant.

It has the benefit of making your team more adaptable and harder to write the book on. If your team has a set lineup, it's easy to scout it and make plans that work. I do think that Knoblauch went a bit too far with it when he had no lines or pairings that had significant experience with each other at all. I think that was game 2.
