Fire Knoblauch

He's worse than Chiarelli

However, this coach amplifies all of the mistakes. Overrated muppet
I agree he’s had a bad year and awful series thus far

I don’t know what coach available is an upgrade though

Laviolette and Torts are washed

Q is too controversial

The best coaches are all in the playoffs minus Sullivan who just won’t leave Pittsburgh

Is he the one who has allowed 10 goals on 58 shots in this series?

Oh, no, that’s Skinner.

Is he the one that decided to reconstruct this team and move out Holloway, Foegele, and McLeod? Is he the one that decided to go paper soft?

Oh, no, that’s Bowman.

What has he done wrong? He’s a good coach.

It's clear that the advanced stats guys were right and the Oilers were primed to go on a run last year regardless of coach (they "looked" much better than the results they were getting with Woody)

There will be some options that open up in the offseason. They don't even need the best coach ever. Just a guy with a f***ing pulse that can make some changes when needed. Maybe one that knows when to pull a f***ing goalie, for one

Why not pull Skinner before 5 goals against?

Its Jeff Jackson, he tied Bowman's hands with the idiotic signings and 0 cap after July 1. Bowman has Tambellini'd the team after that

But this coach has overseen a special teams collapse (and hasn't held the assistants responsible), overplays coach's pet junk like Janmark and Kapanen during the regular season, doesn't even give Savoie a chance when he looked good and dominated the AHL.

His systems are absolute trash and he coaches for 0 hits. "Fragile team" = fragile coach

This guy is an absolute fraud.

Garbage offensive systems that have led to underperformance across the board, vaunted defensive systems and absolutely in love with a plug of a goalie.

Zero pulse, zero intensity, zero accountability.
Buddy. Fire Jackson and Bowman well before KK.

Fire the clowns who dismantled this roster and waxed off to Pxxx instead of finding any half decent goaltending.

Ah yes its skinner that makes the starting line up and who gets pulled. All this time I thought that was part of the coaches responsibilities.

Coach Knoblauch deserves a lot of heat, but if coaching isn’t motivating the team, where’s the leadership in the room? This has been a problem since day 1 of the rebuild.

The country club has been a thing for years. It definitely comes into question, but having a coach with a pulse may actually help that

I know people hate the idea of a "tough love" coach, but this group needs it

I'd have time for Tocchet to be honest. He does a lot of the defensive structure stuff but has a big time pulse and can be a leader personality in the room. I know he's probably locked in on the Philly job but being offered a chance to coach McDavid-Drai might change his mind.

Yup. Would love Tocchet. Maybe try to get Mathieu Darche from Tampa to become GM (he's never been one, but that seems to be working for other teams), since he doesn't sound like a smug Dunning-Kruger-afflicted tool and doesn't have a history of fumbling his team right before coming here, unlike the last three GMs we had.

Coach Knoblauch is a great coach. You have had bad GM's, an owner who doesn't have deep pockets, and a soft team. Fast, yes. Two superstars, yes. But if you look at teams that have won, depth and great goaltending is the factor. The Oilers have neither. KK can't make chicken soup out of chicken soup.

Maybe bring in Messier...?

Scotty Bowman's still alive somewhere in Florida.

But seriously, they're not firing the coach after this season, no matter what. What would be good is if the org fired themselves.

I should had fired him on the spot, along with waivering Janmark, S. Skinner & Arvidsson.
Then recalled Delia, Savoie & Philp.
Just to make a statement.

“an owner who doesn't have deep pockets,”

Wut are you talking about. Katz has given this org all the funding it needs and then some. The problem is it’s been squandered on n questionable decisions (staff hirings, player signings etc).

Great coach?

Potential to be maybe at some time, but stop tossing out superlatives like great to describe a guy that hasn’t coached in the best league for even 2 full seasons yet. Not to mention hasn’t won shit in that time period. Nope.
