nothing Hak is doing promises long term success.. unless success is measured as bottom of league and no POs season after season
I was referring more to upper management.

sooooo never since haktard refuses to utilize talent when it does arrive. When better talent arrives.
Defensive hockey is boring until you have the talent to instantly flip the ice off a turnover in the neutral zone.
The fantasy that if you change coaches this will suddenly become a talented team .
It's one thing to want a new coach, it's another to engage in hockey pornographic fantasies
think Strome wants to come to TC as the "water bear" and undress in a locker room of hard bodies that have been working their butts off to get ready to compete and push each other to get better
@heWhoMustNotBeNamed
Leier and Weal have major roles with the Flyers?
Konecny, Sanheim, and Patrick don't get enough icetime or trust from coaching to take the next step.
The "kids" haven't arrived yet? The Flyers already have one of the youngest teams in the league; 2018-2019 roster should be even younger However, Hextall seems prohibitively preoccupied with rushing young players. I wouldn't be surprised if stage 2 of the rebuild involved shipping off prospects and picks en masse for NHL vets.
Aube-Kubel, Lindblom, Martel, Vorobyev, Vecchione, Myers and Morin are all ready for the NHL now. Who will Hex/Haks trust to play significant minutes over the next two seasons? The 2018-2019 Flyers have 11 forwards and 6 defensemen who appear likely to return--Hagg and Leier are RFAs but well-regarded by the organization. A handful of players will get traded. Who do you think will go?
It’s a valid concern as far as who would replace Hakstol. Any chance a WJC coach is on deck for an NHL team and could impress enough to at least get a little attention?
Agreed Hextall knew Hakstols system and this was the culture he wanted here. No mistake there. I don’t think Hakstol is so horrible all the time. No pro coach is. His style is appropriate for certain opponents and certain times of the game. He just doesn’t apply it or change it like a real coach would do over a course of a game or season.
I would prefer an established coach. I think he does change things up but I don't see him taking us very far once we are more seasoned. I hope a really top notch coach comes available next year and that Hextall can convince him to come to Philly. It’s a valid concern as far as who would replace Hakstol. Uhhhh.....isn’t that YOUR thing?

How so? Even if it’s broad like winning and losing Browns vs Dallas for example. DET vs edm. Tampa seems to have a nice culture. They will likely have two cups before we have another one. That’s a team in south Florida.
Culture is overrated, and anyway, that's not the Flyers' problem.
Lack of talent, especially depth, is the problem.
And the solution is coming.
It's not Hextall's fault that Holmgren gutted this organization, just look at the six years of drafts before Hextall arrived, and you'll understand why this process is taking so long.
I don't see that as culture at all. I see that as incompetence and competence. How so? Even if it’s broad like winning and losing Browns vs Dallas for example. DET vs edm. Tampa seems to have a nice culture. They will likely have two cups before we have another one. That’s a team in south Florida.
