The attention the goaltending is starting to get is unbelievable. Most of us ouler fand have been screaming this for years but now everyone is talking about how bad the goaltending had become amd Schwartz seems to be getting alot of attention. I honestly think knowing he was the main reason for Campbell signing that he was probably the reason we passed on jesper wallstedt as well. That screams a fkong Schwartz blunder

You're not exactly convincing anyone here that the guy who survived two regime changes should keep his job when goaltending has been an issue his entire tenure.
There's articles out there explicitly stating that he scouted Campbell for hours. He's the one who ultimately decides which goalie starts games.
Aren't you tired of this organization f***ing up for people who aren't worth it?

Holy mother of god how do we still have Dustin Schwartz apologists in 2025. Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard being dog shit doesn't change the fact that he's the worst coach/executive in Oilers history with a long history of sewering goalies including guys who've been successful elsewhere like Cam Talbot.

Lol at equating the SCF run to goaltending as if Skinner didn't get outplayed by every goalie he faced except Oettinger. As for Talbot, he was great in New York, was great the first 2 years when he still had good habits from New York and hadn't been infected with Schwartzitis, then turned to dog shit with more and more Schwartz coaching, then became good again after leaving his clutches.
You must be a friend/family member of Schwartz. Only possible reason for you to think him a good goalie coach.

I'm looking for the article but it's been repeated by a number of posters here that Schwartz personally scouted Campbell and recommended him. It wasn't just a "bad decision", it's a decision that's cost this team dearly.
"Over their time with the Edmonton Oilers, nearly every starting goalie has seen their save percentage fall year over year - including Stuart Skinner. Only Mike Smith wasn't affected by this phenomenon, and he was a veteran goalie in the last years of his career. However, Smith had hired his own goalie coach."
Goaltending has been a weakness almost every year he's been here and the one year it wasn't, Talbot regressed the following years until we offloaded him for peanuts.
