Fire him all you want but Pikard has been great. Skinner regardless of the goalie coach is not a starter.

Sanford has done an admirable job in Toronto. Schwartz was hired with zero professional experience. Didn't have to pay his dues, didnt play professionally, never coached professionally- and he got the gig. He has since survived multiple coaches and GMs. How is this freaking possible?

This might end up one of the greatest mysteries of the Edmonton Oilers franchise.

Politicians don't have the job security this guy does. The fact he gets no attention from the Oilers media is downright embarrassing. But I wouldn't expect much from the mouthpieces of the team. How he has outlived multiple coaches and GMs is utterly baffling.

It's fairly obvious there is some kind of order from higher ups that Schwartz and Skinner and not allowed to be discussed whatsoever.

The media gets hilariously bent out of shape and immediately tries to halt any conversation when either one is brought up.

It remains baffling that its on the goaltending coach under whose tutelage that a mid 3rd round draft pick, with extreme , extreme limited athleticism, who was a finalist for the rookie of the year & who took the team to game 7 of the Stanley Cup final, is at fault for said goalie been what he is.
Btw, career AHL'r /marginal NHL backup has had really good numbers under this horror of a goalie coach.
Not saying he is good/bad or indifferent at his job, just find it comical that its so clearly on him Skinner isnt better.

He was also the one that scouted Jack Campbell, and goalies have regressed under his watch. Mike Smith basically told him to go pound sand.
