Proposal: Fire DeBoer

I'd be fine w Q, people make mistakes and we need a change and a winning atmosphere

buuut i dont see Nill doing it either

I will say... If this was his reason for demoting Harley, Nill should include it in the exit interview when explaining why DeBoer is fired. Talk about overthinking yourself into a stupid situation.

Not resting any of the forwards made no sense. Playing Otter tonight made no sense. The 5F PP with Harley back made no sense. WTF Pete?

Lol, I wasn’t on board with firing DeBoer but I will be if this team is embarrassed by the Avs.

Their play the last two months has been abysmal. They’re now going into the playoffs on a 7 game losing streak. AND to top it all off, he put himself in a spot where he felt the need to ice his best lineup in game 82 to “stop the bleeding”, to only get smacked 5-1 AND lose his top forward in the process.

Then you factor in probably the main issue of all, which is the fact his teams are never ready for game 1’s.

Again, if they’re a quick out, I just don’t see how and why we would keep him.

I’m back on the fire Jim Nill train as well. Season after season defense is the problem and he’s incapable of fixing it. He’s also incapable of picking good coaches.

I hope I eat crow but I don’t think it’s gonna happen.

I was skeptical of DeBoer, but he's been fine until this year, which is funny looking at his NHL coaching career, he doesn't make it much further than 3yrs .

3yrs at Florida
3.5 at NJ
4.5 in SJ
3yrs in VG

Guess his message just doesn't last.

But he was/is the best coach the Stars have hired since Nill started. It's a shame he's married at the hip to Spott

Why do people keep saying this like they want Dumb-ass on the PP? 5 Forwards made perfect sense.
Ya Granlund running the point makes sense over any other Dman. Granlund can also be relied upon defensively as well.

Granlund getting the top pp unit probably was just to give less minutes to Harls, and more exposure to Granlund so he can be comfortable running a pp again.

I'm fine with a five forward PP.

I'm not fine with demoting Harley to the second PP all because of some convoluted fear of what happens after your PP fails to score and the guy comes out of the box. Since Miro got hurt, Harley is tied for second on the team in PP points (he holds second place himself in primary PP assists).

But that's fine. The PP doesn't need its second best weapon for the majority of the time. If anything, taking him off the top PP only helps create the very scenario DeBoer fears: the PP not scoring.

But but GM of the year 2x in a row
He's done plenty good stuff, but also done some crazy drafting that has cost us. But this year he has blown it big time. Time to put him out to pasture. Won't happen though as Dallas does not hold people accountable, it's a gentleman's club. And not the good kind lol

You don't have to explain it to me. I've been on the fire Nill train for a long time.... since the owner decided to hire Detroit staff, especially that learned under Ken Holland. f*** the red wings and everything about that franchise

Those lines choices are just ridiculous
Play youre Best with youre Best players
Hintz should be with Rantanen
If you loose so be it ….
