This is a Finnish prospect thread please don't post videos of prospects of other nationalities...Your question is also impossible to answer at this point.

Quinton certainly looks more dynamic (has better shot and faster skating). Anything beyond that is impossible to say from those highlights.

The first 38 2004-born players for Pohjola-leiri 2019 have been confirmed:

Pohjola-leiri is where potential national team players go, and is supposed to consist of the best of the age group. Many obvious choices, though I'm surprised by the inclusion of Max Kaituri. Indeed, I've watched essentially every match by the TPS 04 team over the past few years, and I just don't think he's a national team-level player. Perhaps it's because he's playing a year above his age group this season(with 6 points in 24 games), but he's still come across as a very low IQ, selfish player who's benefiting from being an early developer. Well, I guess he has some above average skills with the puck and has good skating. On the other hand, the other TPS player Robin Keihäs is a good pick. He might even have a chance to play on the team.

Apart from that, I see everyone who I've considered a top player for the age group. The most interesting forward should be Joakim Kemell and the most interesting defenseman Elmeri Laakso.
 
Laakso's stats are ridiculous for a defenseman. Among the best in C-jr Q all-time for U15 player. 13 goals and 29 assists in 28 games.

Leijonat.fi had him in 30 games, 14+30.
 
Now this weekend's round is over. Brad Lambert scored 1+1 in his last game and now has 5 points in 5 games at A-SM proper which is simply ridiculous as he just turned 15. He also is +4. Aatu Räty only has 3 points in 5 games at ASM level. That's... pretty good for his age, to be fair. But in comparison to Brad Lambert and considering he's a year older...

Samu Tuomaala has 8 points in 4 points at BSM. As a double underager, that's some very impressive production. The last time someone produced at 2 PPG at such an age was Eeli Tolvanen, though Tuomaala should be quite a bit more complete a player. On the other hand, he's almost a year older than Brad Lambert and... man.

At the CSM level, the underagers are doing quite well. Oskari Vuorio 10 points in 4 games, Jani Nyman 9 points in 4 games, and Jere Lassila 7 points in 4 games with Joakim Kemell having 6 points in 3 games(He got demoted from BSM once again). Ugh, can't wait until next season to see how Kiviharju does at this level. Today's game was completely ridiculous by him, even though he only scored 2 points.

He bounces between BSM and CSM and doesn't seem to be able to stick to BSM. That's not exactly an issue because it's quite rare to be able to play at a good level in BSM at this age(triple underager). Only Puljujärvi and Laine have managed to produce at a decent rate at this level - and Urho Vaakanainen for defensemen. At this point, Eeli Tolvanen might be an alright comparable. Though personally, I've not been that high on Kemell's eye test. You might want to take a look at his recent scouting report:

Sooo.... Kristian Tanus is having by far the best season ever by u19 player in Mestis.

Jesse Ylönen for example had 0.56 p/gp

Kristian Tanus is almost a year younger and currently has 1.24 p/gp

Does his play match this production?
 
Finnish prospects coming out left and right. In 10 years Finland will be the new Canada in hockey. Other top countries (USA, Russia and Sweden) could still get better so Finland and Canada won't dominate totally but Finland will definetely be an example to others.

Kristian Tanus is just incredible. I hope he will be drafted this summer.

3 assists tonight, 13+26 in 30 games this year.

Can someone explain the situation of Toni Rajala what happened in the past. He had an AHL season in which he was basically at a PPG same with in the playoffs, dominated the ECHL and yet he did not get an NHL look. Was it a case of him not being patient and deciding to leave because if he continued that linear development he should have gotten some NHL chances for sure the following season? Not a prospect anymore but maybe someone here will know.

Apparently the Oilers front office staff had made clear to Rajala that he wasn't part of their plans for the future despite of his production in the AHL. He then made his own conclusions and left to Europe.

Tuukka Tieksola has got a lot of praise on twitter. He is a real sleeper for this years draft. 10+33 this year in A-sm in 40 games.

 
Not really a prospect anymore but Jani Hakanpää has been an absolute beast for the past month or so. Had a very slow start the season but has been absolutely terrific as of late:

Stats:

First 18 games: 1+0=1 point
Next 18 games: 8+7=15 points

Has only gotten a PP time in the past few games, where has scored couple of nice goals, playing as a net front guy in the PP.

His footspeed has improved a lot in the past two seasons and actually moves pretty well for such a big guy, have to think there will be ton of interest to sign him next summer, when he will be UFA, big physical RHD's with offensive skill are pretty hard to come by.

Well, Aron Kiviharju(b. 2006) now played in the Finnish C-juniors(u16) for TPS as a triple underager - doesn't happen very often. The first two periods didn't get to do a whole lot but though he was held pointless, there was one super shift in the third. He dangled through the entire field and generated an empty net chance for a teammate who missed, and then hit the post from the slot where he received a pass while wide open. I wonder what they're going to do. The chemistry clearly wasn't there as he rarely if ever got the puck, and he got a low amount of ice time and no PP / PK time. I don't think he played poorly, though. I hope they either just have him continue playing in C2 AAA(u15) or give him better opportunities at C, starting with PP time(He's a PP specialist).

Incredible. He just turned 13 yesterday. Youngest to play in C-sm at least in 26 years.
 
Another underage player who made his C-juniors debut on Saturday was 2005-born winger Emil Järventie, who played for Ilves against HIFK in the top division, scoring a goal and a primary assist in a losing effort.

Trying my best to not get too hyped about a guy who turned 13 two days ago but his skating is at a ridiculous level for that age.
