Expecting a W but it's going to be a close one with us being this weak. Having good skaters on our team is a big issue and i think Switzerland will try to capitalize on that.

I hope they start finding chemistry since they have not had that on any lines yet.

Is Blomqvist the 3rd goalie seing he didnt even dress for last game? Or do they have some kind of rotation?
As a pens fan im trying to find a reason to watch the game :)

8:1 Suomi. We (Switzerland) are bad this year.

You really think that Fatton is gonna give up 8 goals, the way he played vs Slovakia? If it wasn't for Baragano, we win this game. Also, we just ran into a strong goalie. Unfortunate, but with the 28 shots we had, many of them quality ones, you usually win if you only allow 1. Watching all games until now, no goalie looked better than Fatton. And I'm not just saying it because he only gave up one goal. It's mostly the way he carried himself. His rebound control was amazing, his movement and positioning almost perfect. He was always calm and in total control. I didn't expect him to be this good. Not even close. But he looked like a man, catching shots from boys. Much like Charlin last year.

Also, watching Finnland vs Germany, they looked pretty bad. In terms of goaltending and defense, they were nowhere near Slovakia. If they can't fix that, they're gonna be in trouble against both us and the Slovaks.

It's obvious that Finnland is lightyears better offensively though. Our coaches need to start leaning on the best players. In game 1, the only ones they played properly were Knak and Schläpfer. Pezzullo, Meier, Guggenheim, Jobin, Marchand and Hofer all need to play way more. Getting Salzgeber back would help, too. But if we get all that and another good performance out of Fatton then I like our chances in this one.

Finland record should be 1-0-0-0 and Switzerland 0-1-0-0

Thanks, but there are two 03-born Swiss players in the team who will likely be drafted in 2021 right?

I wouldn't draft them:laugh:
They're on the roster because we don't have any better Centers. We only have two good ones and one of them (Salzgeber) has been injured and hasn't played a pro game all season long. Also missed game 1. Schläpfer is good and Allenspach is fair I guess...but behind that, there's nothing. So we need the two kids:help:

I have seen them a few times in the past and thought they were promising. This season they have been stagnating however, but I still think at least Canonica will get drafted; maybe in the later rounds. Also Biasca is a natural singer thats forced to play center.

Knak was 10 times better last year than Canonica this year...and he didn't get drafted...

I’m thinking Lambert notches a goal or two this game.

Fun player to watch, he’s such a good skater and has some slick hands as well.

Yes but the WJC was amongst his best showings of the year. In the WHL he had long stretches where he didnt look very dangerous offensively at all. He was a bit unlucky though playing on a loaded team wich inflated his ice time and therefore probably his stats. He also should have been drafted. Canonica was projected as a mid round pick by scouts and has better chances to get drafted even if the worse player than Knak. Firstly he has more positional value as a center and being able to play at all goes a long way too. We dont know if the CHL leagues will play many games this year wich should play in Canonicas favour.

Most years I would think the Swiss have a decent shot against this particular version of Team Finland, but they look fairly weak this tournament.

If we could get rid of the idiots behind the bench...we'd probably have a chance:laugh:

You know the situation is bad when you have to field musicians in your lineup :sarcasm:
