I'd expect him to play 1-2 lines, so quite a bit. I don't think they'll bring a 2003 born player to play small minutess, rather keep at home.

He looked like a five-year veteran. Calm and smart with some nice moves too.

I can confirm this. I watched all of Heinola's first Winnipeg games and it looked like he made their team better which is not normal for a undersized rookie. They just didn't want to burn the first year from his rookie contract so they sent him back to Finland.

If they haven't changed the damn goal song this time i'm going to get real mad, that thing is probably the worst one in hockey history and i'm just baffled it has stuck around this long, idk how it even became our goal song in the first place.

The forwards are pretty much as we expected i think. Nice to see both Järventie and Lambert in best possible environment. The defence is harder to get a grasp on.

Interesting that Niemla is on the 3rd pair, most projections I saw had him with Heinola.

According to EP, Miika Elomo is the fourth assistant coach. Back in May, finnish ice hockey association named Antti Miettinen, Ville Mäntymaa and Tuomo Ruutu as assistant coaches. Has somebody resigned or is this an error? Mäntymaa is still with the team for sure, but no news on Miettinen and Ruutu.

I wouldn't like the song otherwise but I connect it with Finland's victories so it makes me feel good. Better than dirlanda, that's for sure.

Really looking forward to watching Finland this year. They've always been my 2nd team but this year with the 3 Leafs and the Lambert connection it makes it all the more interesting. New Year's is going to be a great one.

Strongly disagree. The song is embarrassingly bad, and they should do better than a song that sounds like a song from a toybook for infants.
