Final Western Conference Spot

You want that second wild card spot.
Furthest thing from the truth. They are always owned by the Jets, Stars. 1st wild card gets the Pacific winner instead, still will be an underdog but its their best shot. They shouldn´t want to move up or down. They are in the perfect spot right now and the most likely landing spot.

Does everyone agree the Blues would make for the most entertaining first round series against Winnipeg?
Maybe but they are looking most likely at this point, canucks didn't really deserve that point last night and the Blues are the hot team.

Canucks versus NYR Saturday has huge implications for both teams and the NYR have to get 2 points, canucks probably as well.

Blues/BlackHawks
Flames /NYI

Saturday teams that lose in regulation will start slipping away.

Utah plays the lightning but I think they are too far back.

Will the Blues catch the Wild before the end of the season? Jim Montgomery is riding the hottest team in the West right now, I don't if it is 2019 revisited, and capitalizing on the easiest part of the schedule but the Blues are getting hot at the right time of the year.

I think it's cool that Dan Kelly's son does the play by play for the team. He's kind of a legend from the 87 Canada Cup.

Blues have games in hand but have an easy schedule. Their next game is against Montreal battling for a spot but after that it’s a lot of teams that are tanking or soon to be tanking hard or teams already comfortable in the playoffs and taking foot off.

Eh, it's the opposite. Flames have 3 games in hand, Utah and Anaheim have 2, Vancouver with their win still have 1.

Well, we were hanging onto a thread going into tonight in the first place, but I think it's safe to say that Utah's playoff chances are pretty much dead now.

Just in time for me to go see them play on Thursday.
Its not over until the fat lady sings.

Pretty hard to go anywhere when the Blues hesdshotted 2 of your best forwards, Karlsson and also Braun who was still a good defensive d-man and they all missed multiple games.

Shit happens. Just like when Kypreos ran Fuhr and probably cost the Blues their first cup. And when Kadri ran Binnington when the Blues were dominating and would have beat the Avs that series.

St. Louis is playing the best of the contenders. Unless something big happens, I think they take the spot.
Probably

Blues being the Blues.......... They've been doin it for decades..............Said it the other day but i'll repeat it here...........No franchise personifies middling more than the Blues.......Been watching since 86 and they only made it passed the second round 4 times but have only missed the playoffs 8 times..

Not meant to be a compliment or an insult.......Just an observation.......

lol I love that I could tell you were a sharks fan just by your post.
The last even strength playoff goal the Sharks scored was the hand pass. That looks like it will be true for quite a while.

Montgomery has his fingerprints on what the Blues are doing now. We had no expectations for them this year, so a playoff chase and appearance is all bonus. I’ll enjoy seeing more games of Holloway’s emergence.

That’s right! Plus that time big meanie Roman Polak broke Justin Braun’s jaw, when Braun was simply trying to open the Polak Door.

I'd like to see Blues and Vegas in the 1st round. I think the Blues could beat them in a series, with Parayko.

They finally got to a point last night where Calgary's 3 games in hand don't see the Flames getting in by winning 2 of 3 those in regulation.

With 2 games in hand against Minnesota, Calgary can put some pressure on them if they keep their winning streak up.

Guerin using his 1st round pick on Jiricek, and 2nd on Nyqvist, being in danger of missing the playoffs would be the most abrupt collapse this year.

Vancouver's season is hanging in the balance too. After some big moves.

Key injuries at this time of year are tough to overcome. Blues are doing it though.
