Good news: Our three best players aren't playing tonight. And as much as it pains me to say, Zar is wayyyy better than Boyle right now and would be a big boost to the 4th line.

What the rat is going on when Ruh has the best snipe of pre-season? He's having a pretty solid game in general.
Those penalties. I don't love the consistency. I don't think it's a surprise that the refs call that when there's been so much talk about dirty play, you spear a guy like that and you're handing the refs a blank cheque to do with as they will. Like good on them for sticking up for Jarry, that's a piece of shit move to begin with, but maybe not like that.
I'm more bothered by what Marino and McGinn were doing on their goal than anything else apart.
Feel like Heinen and ERod have had some nice moments.
Finally, I can see myself eventually hating Brian Boyle even more than HandshakeLine does at this rate.

I agree, but that penalty was kind of bullshit.
It is always funny to me to see us acquire these tough big guys and then suddenly they are completely neutered by the refs here while on other teams they just run buck wild.

At some point, Hal Gill's slowness afoot outweighed the benefit of his reach. I think we're there and then some with Boyle.

I think you have to let those type of players play actual games.
I was a little surprised by that penalty for sure. Just everything else.

His on ice impact is going to be about identical to Tanev from what I've seen. It's just it's going to be in a ZAR way with more touch versus skating around looking like a dumbass.
