So what if KK is being outcoached. This isn't marbles. People can hate him all they want but Paul Maurice is making strong argument he's the best coach in hockey and with tons of experience and years of SC final experience. KK is a young sophomore coach. He isn't supposed to be better than the best. If he was the whole NHL stack of coaches wouldn't be very much.

Nobody is perfect and gonna check all the boxes for everybody. But Oilers fans, really, this is the best coach that 90% of you have seen with the Oilers.

Yeah he's gonna make some errors, be outcoached. I don't know even the point of stressing it. he's pretty damn good. We would never find better. Not this org.

I think he has been out coached in the finals. But to his credit, I think he’s pretty much out coached every one else in these finals. I think he was probably about even with Maurice last year.

To be fair to a Knoblauch, I think some of his assistants have let him down. Stuart and Gulutzan have been stale all year. Schwartz and the goaltending have made his job harder. He didn’t get to pick any of these guys.

Even Coffey is starting to fade a bit. He’s another one who didn’t really want to coach but kinda got forced into it. Might be getting tired of it.

Our D love taking micro-naps out there, as do some of our C in defensive situations.. I’d like to see Derek Ryan in TBH. He was doing great on right-side draw earlier in the year, he can usually give a game or 2 with some juice when he comes in(not sure if that would apply in this situation given the opponent), but he is a solid PKer and our PK has been total dog shit this playoffs. I attribute a lot of that to weak right-side D options but a RHC could help too.

Ultimately, when it comes to the critical minutes we need to cut the bench and run Kane and anyone else with actual outskill potential into the ground. So a utility guy like Ryan to play a few situational minutes is not a bad ticket.

Overload the top 6 and get them some adderall. Let’s roll.

This. The lack of focus for short periods has created some doozy scoring and goal opportunities for the Panthers. That should not require cleaning up this far into the play offs. It’s connected to their slow game starts as well I believe.

I agree that Knob should get one or two new helpers. I like Coffey though, but maybe he’s better as a mentor than a coach but I like him. He’s one of those guys along with Duncan Keith that helped shape Bouchard into a superstar.

I suspect Stuart stays on for the PK and we get some better players to PK instead

Maurice has like 27+ years of NHL coaching experience and didn't even make a Cup final until 2 years ago. No shame being outcoached by a future HOFer.
