Thanks again Dallas. Glad their coach is fired and they’re about to trade their most talented player. Another bullshit org about to die.

Dallas was pretty soft but also pretty dirty

Meanwhile, Panthers went through one rougher team (but Vasi played like shit) and two soft teams (at least the Leafs tired them out a bit).

Oilers would have multiple Cups if they played in the east, would have been healthy for the finals every year

Honestly one of the bigger changes I'd make is adding Klingberg to the top PP.

FLA is doing a great job hounding the puck as it loops around from RNH/McDavid to Drai and eventually Bouch up top. Though generally that's where the PK runs out of having a man ready to jump in to cover the next pass, however Bouch's only play sadly is to reset the play by passing back to RNH. Get a RHS who can handle the puck and shoot there so Bouch's has the option to pass to someone who's still a threat. Puckskill-wise, Kling's also not a downgrade on RNH.

RNH would also give the 2nd unit a proper QB vs, 5 guys just passing it around directionlessly.

Perry-McDavid-Drai
Klingberg-Bouchard

RV-RNH-Kane
Ekholm-Walman
Klingberg is better at getting pucks through the net than Bouchard so i'd try it, but Bouchard has a way better shot. Tough and can't see it changing

You know the answer to what coach will do.
That third line got absolutely shit on all game and they are being kept together. If Nuge is healthy Skinner is in.
Knoblauch rather guys who hit and bring nothing than a guy who hits a little bit less and scores.
It is what it is.

That’s the last thing he wants and he’s stated as such in various in season interviews. He doesn’t value physical play at all and even trotted out the Eakins quote of the perfect game being a no hitter with Rishaug I believe earlier this season. Edmonton was also the least physical team out of all 32 this season.

Skinner is the least defensively reliable / trusted F of the ones available to KK. That’s why he’s a healthy scratch.

This is blatantly false. It is true he had a rough start- but Jan 1 until the end of the season he was one of the best defensive forwards on the team. He significantly improved in that regard
