I think "Bad Stu" is by far the greatest risk to the team. That said I am more confident that "Good Stu" will be the norm than I have been at virtually any time this year.

I think the saving grace this time is if he implodes there isn't the hesitation to put Pickard in had he not already proven he can pick it up if Stu shits the bed.

That kind of thing likely requires a game to be thrown away though, which I don't know if we can afford at any point in this series. However, if we do toss one because of the goalie I think we have better odds of limiting it to a one off than prior years.

I think that the whole "oILeRs HaVn'T pLAYed a TeAM lIkE FlORiDa yET!" narrative that the media runs on should actually be the other way around. The only team the Panthers have played that are even remotely on our level are the Leafs and they just laid down for them after going up 2-0.

I have a feeling we come out hungry and focused and kick their ass.
But they have … last f***ing year lol. Ignore so the stupidity and ignorance

I’d argue you’re spot on. Imo, the only legit cup contender in the East was Florida. There were probably 4 in the West.

I'd go as far as to say there were 6 teams in the West playoffs that would beat any East team that isn't the Panthers in a 7 game series. Going back 25 years the West has almost always been at least a little bit better, but I don't remember this much of a disparity. It was like watching two different leagues at times during the playoffs.

Oilers, Kings, Knights, Stars, Avalanche, and Jets all get through the East if they flipped Conferences with the Panthers.
