You're likely right. I can't find any mention of a hearing on the DoPS web site or X feed. Would be interesting if such a hit was made on a stud rookie d-man by Xhekaj. That spinning wheel of justice is a curious one.

Exactly. It's not like he was skating into the neutral zone with the puck with his head down. Players have a right to be on the ice without the puck without someone going straight at their head. It was straight up a predatory hit that by definition is supposed to be punished.

I mean, yes, he does. It doesn't actually matter if it's against the rules because players still break the rules all the time...Hutson, like all smaller players in the NHL, is more vulnerable to injury from dirty hits, which will happen regardless of how hard the NHL goes at policing it (and I agree they don't do nearly enough).

Forsberg should definitely be punished, but it's not like goons won't take runs at Hutson just because they might get suspended. They've done it to other players and they'll continue to do so.
