You're right. And that's why you're all-star center and he will never be. :thumbu: High quality training.

Not sure how your reply makes any sense. Because I go to work with a tummy ache, I am not an all star center? or am I an all star center because I can compete with a tummy ache? or do tummy aches make all star centers? or is Brazilian oil rig work good training for all star centers, thus making me an all star center? The possibilities are endless with your reply.

First goal was a nice cross crease pass to him wide open on the right side of the net. The second was a real nice redirection in front. The game was in Utica last night, and in the middle of warm-ups he skated to the beach grabbed a stick and gave it to a little boy. The kid had a sign, I couldn't read it because I was behind the kid, but it looked like it said, all I want for x-mas is a Chytil stick. When they were announcing the 3 stars he signed the stick for the kid. Chytil was all smiles with the kid. It was great to see.

Wow, he really went a long way to get the stick.

Sarcasm?
I do not know what you do for a job... you must be a top athlete when you want to compare his health problems with yours. Only in that case would your evaluation make sense. To be able to perform top sports, you have to be healthy. And doctors have to let you play.

Not to answer for him but at least to me it seems like he's been sarcastic in all of his posts.

Well that is promising for Chytil development - do you think he will get some games end of this season in NHL?

Depends on what situation the Rangers are in at the end of the season.

If they're in a playoff push/buyers, I doubt it.

If they've already been eliminated from getting a spot/sellers, then I can see it.

Do you guys still take exception to Couturier and Kadri comparison for Chytil?

Couturier has 12 goals so far. The Flyers moved Giroux to the LW. Couturier moved up to #1.

Kadri has 10 goals.

Both of the them would lead the Rangers in goals.

I mean if he turns out as good as either of those guys that's still a great pick at 21, but if we're shooting for the moon I hope has has a bit more offense in him than either. I don't think Couturier keeps up the point per game pace and while Kadri scored 60 points last year again if I'm shooting for the stars I'm hoping Chytil someday scores 70

But if he ends up like either ultimately I'll be happy since they're both good players.

I think it's the difference between hoping the Rangers hit a home run with the pick and he turns into an elite player, versus the Rangers making a real good pick and he turns into a good top six/1st line player.

Pastrnak's offensive ceiling would be where I would put Chytil's. If Chytil can continue to put up good numbers in the AHL, there stat lines will look similar. Big difference is that Chytil is playing center to Pastrnak's wing.

Absolutely. And IMO whether or not we're in the hunt is a factor just as much as his improvement. If he's improved significantly, having him up over DD is a huge plus to the team and would help in the playoffs. Yes, it'd burn a year, but that may be worthwhile depending again on how far he's come and how the team/conference looks at that point.

You also have to consider how much money he's going to want on his next contract. I'd prefer to use that money elsewhere if Lias is ready to take that spot.
yes and no, i agree that cap hit needs to be taken into account but for 4 million i can live with that....personally he is an excellent third line center and an ok 2nd line center without bringing cap hit in to the conversation

if hes making 6 or 7 million then your absolutely correct hes not worth it....this is the exact argument many have with nash

I know some people might cringe at this, but Chytil also reminds me a bit of Petr Nedved at the same age.

I've often thought that but Chytiil projects to be a bit bigger, no? I get the sense Chytil's body type will be closer to Kopitar than Nedved (who I always thought of as a bit more slight)

In theory, yes, he should be thicker. Chytil will probably play at 6'2/6'3, 220ish.
