'Chance he could join them' sounds a little encouraging. With him a hit that even causes something of a headache should be reason for precaution.

As for Leschyshyn he's been a hard player for me to like or at least when he's wearing a Rangers jersey. There must be something the Rangers like about him but not sure what it is. Anyway I expect him to be scratched unless someone else gets hurt.

I feel like it only a matter of time on his career. Being concussion prone and having subpar awareness on the ice is a bad combination. He's had more of these inadvertent collisions than anyone that I've seen.

Those two things often go together. More often than not it means a short career or at least unless the player can figure it out. Crosby had issues for a while though.....so did Jeff Skinner.

theres zero details being given out. She's going to make that assumption for the same reason the rest of us are. Because its the most likely outcome and any report to the contrary would need some actual evidence from the team.

Chytil should take the rest of the year off and think about his health. You know it'll be some mild hit that will give him a concussion like the ones Rick Nash took as a Ranger. Chytil concussion I think are mainly his fault for being fragile and putting himself in bad positions to get hit. He needs to be more aware on the ice. Sad to see.

I truly don't see the point in him rejoining the team. It will be great for him once he gets healthy again; that should also be the time that he announces his retirement. His body just can't endure the bare minimum physicality required for the NHL. It's a miracle he's been able to play the sport at the level he has for as long as he has. Like people are saying, if it wasn't this hit it would just have been the next. And the next hit would come from someone that was actually trying to hit him. The collision with Miller was about as slow as a NHL level collision could have been, and Chytil is again sidelined for an undetermined amount of time with an undisclosed injury(?).

Can the Rangers talk him into retiring for extra cap space? We seen Drury did some sneaky stuff as GM. Could he say if you retire before the deadline, Drury give some incentive to Chytil to make him think about his health??? If Chytil retired before the trade deadline, how would that effect the cap space?

I agree....as much as I loved watching him, it seemed to me that he was playing with reckless abandon: his confidence was sky high and he played as if no one could stop him (which was true). To be honest, I'm surprised someone hasn't tried to lay him out before now (maybe they just can't catch him). Typical Ranger crap that it would take one of his own to do it.

so painful, he attacks the defender, pulls a sweet spinorama and puts a dangerous backhand on net, the only forward on the team with the ability/balls to do it, then immediately gets knocked out by his moron teammate and is probably done for good. What a nightmare.

If he retires, his contract is nullified and the amount of the contract comes off the books.
