It seems like the ndp government in BC is playing some politics.

They said no to the world cup citing cost concerns, but the funny thing is that there was still an out clause in a few years if the numbers didn't add up.

They spent something like 700 million to renovate bc place, and when an event worthy of that renovation comes along, this government says no.

Sad.

Didn't catch the game but from the highlights it looked like Egypt had a lot of good chances, especially in the first half. Russia is def cynical in front of goal though.

based on how they played, correct they are not weaker then SA, though before the start they were perceived to be inferior.
