I actually gave this ridiculous idea some thought.lol Here is my solution. A lot of the Czechs/Finns/Swedes left the KHL in droves. They were very quickly replaced by Canadians and Americans.

The KHL currently has over 100 North Americans in the KHL. So I say get those Canucks and Yanks on one team and get them to play the best Russians in KHL. Similar to 4 nations actually using only 1 league! Team Belarus (they have 47 guys). Team Kazakhistan (they have 46 guys). You could even make a Team Canada and Team USA to really make it interesting! Not even players from Czech,Sweden and Finland to make a rest of Europe team though.

Team Russia would likely destroy everybody in this proposal for a tournament, but it would probably be at least semi-popular to watch the games by the Russian public.

I might even try watching it myself.

5 of the top 20 KHL scorers are US/Canadian. Fucalle has a .922 average! It'd be close IMO.

That is cool.but seems similar to an all star game. I want, at the very least, a Spengler cup intensity. A team Canada vs Russia final could be fun. Even funnier if it ended USA vs canada.lol.

I did consider a team rest of world but couldn't find enough .. no Finn's, 3 Czechs, 4 Swedes and 10 Slovaks .. one good French player.

I found your original post annoying. Partly your fault & partly HFB for allowing it.

It's OK to post that Russia should not be banned from international competitions, which is an inherently political (and unethical) position, but you can't challenge it without breaking the boards rules.

You also inferred that anyone who thinks that Russia should be banned from international competitions is misinformed by the mainstream media and propaganda. That is kinda the definition of crazy conspiracy thinking - hence the tin foil hat comment.

I'm not going to get in the politics of Russia/Ukraine war, as it is against the board rules but I will say this. There is alot of information out there and much of it has an agenda or conforms to a narrative. This applies to mainstream media & alternative media both of which can be well motivated but still biased.

Navigating information is complex but certainly easier then ever before. We have access to more primary information and data then any other time in history.

It also helps to have formal (and informal) education and to travel extensively to see things for yourself.

Those are thing that I assume you don't have or have done living in your parents basement like you do - and yes, that was also meant pejoratively.

The very same reporting that is funded by the very entities that have a vested interest in that war.

As you pointed out...thanks to the multitude of information on the internet we have the luxury of looking at differing streams of information.
Provided we arent operating from a perspective of confirmation bias we can then look at all the information.
From that we weigh the accuracy of the info and draw a conclusion.
